Perfect for: intermediate kayakers with some previous experience eager to improve river safety techniques
Agenda:
• introduction to rescue & river safety foundations
• self rescueing techniques
• how to correctly swim in the river
• use of safety rope
• use of cowtail
• contact rescueing and implications
• rope systems (Z drag, P grig)
• practical rescueing of pinned equipment (eg. kayak pinned on the rock)
• basics of river CPR
• River hazards
• Regular timetable (for morning course, may vary*)
